Entry/Exit System (EES) – Important Information for Your Trip
From 19 January 2026, the Entry/Exit System (EES) of the European Union will be in effect at Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO). This is a new digital border control system for travelers from non-Schengen countries. Implementation and operation are the responsibility of the German Federal Police.

- Digital recording of entries and exits
- Storage of passport data, a facial image, and fingerprints
EU border control counters will initially be used exclusively for EU citizens.
→ Travelers from non-Schengen countries will be directed to the central border control counters.
Please allow sufficient time for border control when planning your trip and ensure that you have all required travel documents ready.
The historic city is one of the largest in the whole of Turkey. Antalya is especially famous for the Kaleici district, which is located in the old town. Typical for this quarter are the winding alleys, in which historical finds can be found. One of these findings is the Hadrian's Gate, which dates back to the time of Roman antiquity. Something you should also not miss is the Yivili Minare Mosque, which dates back to the 14th century. The mosque has six domes and twelve columns, all of which date back to when it was built.
During your stay in Turkey, you should not miss one of the numerous markets and bazaars. Here you will experience lively hustle and bustle and a flooding of the senses. At every corner there are other typical Turkish specialties to see. Especially the different scents of spices or teas let you dive into another world. In addition to these delicacies, you can usually find beautiful souvenirs and handicrafts as well as clothing at these markets. This is the perfect opportunity to show off your bargaining skills!
For those who like it a bit quieter, the resorts outside of Antalya are recommended. Especially in places like Belek, Kemer or Side you will find spacious hotel complexes that attract with numerous offers. On the beaches there are some activities like parasailing, water skiing or banana boat as well as leisure and aqua parks. No wonder that especially families like to spend their vacations here.
For those who like to spend time in nature, a trip to the falls of Manavgat is indispensable. Barely eight kilometers outside Side, in the middle of the most beautiful nature, you will find the river Manavgat, which has a width of 40 meters at the point of the two-meter high waterfall. Despite the rather low height of the waterfall, this natural spectacle is beautiful to look at due to the masses of water. Next to the waterfall you will find some small cafes and restaurants, which invite you to linger a bit and let your soul dangle.
