How do I create a user account?

It’s easy. Simply click on the “My Account” button in the top right-hand corner and then follow the steps. You can also create an account once you have entered your entry and exit times and have selected a car park.

What are the advantages of creating a user account?

Creating a personal user account means you can quickly and easily log in and book your parking at FMO in just a few clicks. With an account you also have the option of changing or cancelling your booking free of charge up to 1 hour before the booked arrival time. Making a change to a reservation is not possible without a user account.

What happens if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can select “Forgot password?” from the “My Account” page and request an email which will contain a link enabling you to change your password. Simply type in your email address. After a few minutes you will receive a message with detailed instructions on how to change your password.

What are the advantages of booking early?

Booking early eliminates the stress of having to search for a suitable car park when you arrive at the airport, and the risk that you may not find one. Advanced booking means you no longer require a parking ticket to keep safe during your travels. You no longer have to queue up to pay at one of the automated pay stations, so you don’t have to worry about having the right change to pay for the parking ticket. Advanced booking makes parking convenient and saves time.

How do I reserve suitable parking?

Please visit our reservations platform at prebooking.fmo.de and enter your parking dates and time. Click on “Find parking” and then select which car park you would like to use. You will then be asked to log in to your user account, create a new account or “Continue without creating an account”. Next, select your payment method, enter your details and complete the reservation by clicking on “Confirm booking”.

Do I reserve a specific parking space?

No, you only reserve a randomly allocated parking space in the multi-storey car park or other car park you have selected. We guarantee that a parking space will be available in the selected parking area.

Why am I not being shown all of the car parks to choose from?

It could be that certain car parks are already fully booked during the dates you have entered. We have to ensure that at least 1 parking space is available over the entire duration of your selected dates. If this is not the case, you will not be shown this car park as an option to select.

What types of payment are accepted?

You can either pay with a credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express) or via a SEPA Direct Debit Mandate.

How do I redeem a voucher code?

Please enter your voucher code before you enter your dates. This can be found on the homepage of the reservations platform (prebooking.fmo.de), then click on “Redeem”. The value of the voucher will then be taken over into the “Current choice” field.

How do I receive confirmation of the parking reservation?

You will receive an email with the reservation confirmation as a PDF attachment. You will also receive a QR code to save on your smartphone. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can simply print the PDF confirmation which also includes the QR code. In order to open the invoice and reservation confirmation you will need Acrobat-Reader, which can be downloaded for free online.

Will I receive a separate invoice?

Yes, you will receive an invoice as a PDF attachment with the confirmation email. In order to open the invoice and reservation confirmation you will need Acrobat-Reader, which can be downloaded for free online.

Entrance

How do I enter the car park?

Please use the QR code on the booking confirmation you received from us via email. Print out the QR code or save it on your smartphone. Hold the QR code level in front of the scanner. If necessary, move the QR card slightly to the left or right until the scanner can read it. You will find instructions on how to use the QR code on your reservation confirmation. Provided that you are entering the car park within the time frame booked, the barrier will recognise your code and open up.

What do I do if there are any problems at the car park barrier?

At the entrance and exit barriers you will find a help button which connects you to our parking office. Assistance is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Please have your reservation number ready to give to the staff member. IMPORTANT: Never take a parking ticket!

Do I also need to obtain a parking ticket when I enter the car park?

No! You only need the QR code in order to enter the car park. If you have mistakenly taken a parking ticket, please drive straight to the exit and leave the car park immediately - there is no charge if you exit the car park within a few minutes. Please enter the car park again using your QR code so that our system recognises you and books you in.

What do I need to do if the car park is “full”?

You can still enter the car park using your QR code. You are guaranteed a parking space, even if the display at the car park says “full” (besetzt).

What happens if I want to enter the car park before the specified arrival time?

There are varying grace periods in which your reservation/booking will be recognised, depending on which car park you are using.

What happens if I have taken a parking ticket at the barrier?

You must always enter the car park by using the QR code. Otherwise, you cannot leave the car park via this method. Please note: if you have taken a ticket, you will need to pay an additional charge for your parking. To be on the safe side, please make your way to the automated pay station with your parking ticket before exiting the car park.

What happens if I am running late and will not arrive at the time I booked?

There is a grace period after the entry time you booked in which your reservation/booking will be recognised.

Exit

How do I leave the car park or multi-storey car park?

Please use the same QR code provided in your booking confirmation to exit the car park. The barrier will open and you can drive out.

What happens if I overstay the parking time booked?

If you stay for longer than the period booked, you will be charged for any additional parking time in accordance with the tariff (price list) of the respective car park and you will have to pay this amount at the exit barrier. You can pay the additional charge directly at the exit barrier using an EC or credit card and you will receive a separate receipt for this transaction.

Do I need to go to the automated pay station before exiting the car par?

No, with advanced bookings this is not necessary. You can drive straight to the exit.

Is it possible to enter and exit the car park multiple times during my booked parking time?

No, you are only entitled to enter and exit the car park once.

Can I get a refund if I exit the car park earlier than planned?

No, unfortunately refunds are not possible.
